CCPA Privacy Policy

Effective Date: February 25, 2026

Operated by Best ROI Media LLC

Your privacy rights as a California resident under the California Consumer Privacy Act and California Privacy Rights Act.

California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) & CPRA — This policy applies to all California residents who use YourMatrix. Even though YourMatrix is based in Texas, California law protects California residents regardless of where a company is located.

1. Who This Applies To

This CCPA Privacy Policy applies to California residents who use YourMatrix. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.100 et seq.) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), California residents have specific rights regarding their personal information.

Even though Best ROI Media LLC and YourMatrix are based in Houston, Texas, California law follows California residents wherever they go online. If you are a California resident using YourMatrix, this policy applies to you in full.

Why Texas-based companies must comply: The CCPA applies to any for-profit business that collects personal information from California residents — regardless of where the business is physically located. Non-compliance can result in fines of up to $7,500 per intentional violation.

2. Data We Collect

The CCPA requires businesses to disclose the categories of personal information they collect. The following outlines what YourMatrix collects:

  • Identifiers (username, email address, phone number, IP address) — Source: You, directly — Never Sold
  • Account Info (password (hashed), date of birth, profile photo, bio) — Source: You, directly — Never Sold
  • User Content (posts, photos, videos, audio, messages, comments) — Source: You, directly — Never Sold
  • Usage Data (features used, pages visited, interactions, time spent) — Source: Automatically collected — Never Sold
  • Device Data (device type, OS version, browser, app version) — Source: Automatically collected — Never Sold
  • Location Data (city/region for Town Square local features, with consent) — Source: You, with permission — Never Sold
  • Communications (support requests, reports, feedback submitted to us) — Source: You, directly — Never Sold
  • Compliance Records (DMCA logs, moderation records, age verification) — Source: Platform operations — Never Sold

Our Commitment: YourMatrix does not sell any category of personal information to any third party, data broker, advertiser, or other entity. We do not share your data for cross-context behavioral advertising.

3. Your CCPA Rights

As a California resident, you have the following rights under the CCPA and CPRA. You may exercise these rights up to twice per 12-month period at no charge.

  • Right to Know — Request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources, the purposes, and any third parties we share it with.
  • Right to Delete — Request deletion of your personal information. We will delete your data and direct our service providers to do the same, subject to certain legal exceptions.
  • Right to Correct — Request correction of inaccurate personal information we maintain about you. Added by CPRA (effective Jan 2023).
  • Right to Opt Out of Sale — Request that we do not sell your personal information. YourMatrix does not sell data — but this right is available to you regardless.
  • Right to Data Portability — Receive your personal information in a portable, readily usable format that allows you to transmit it to another entity.
  • Right to Limit Sensitive Data — Limit our use and disclosure of sensitive personal information to only what is necessary to provide the platform. Added by CPRA.
  • Right to Non-Discrimination — You will not receive different service, be denied access, or be charged different prices for exercising any of your CCPA rights.
  • Authorized Agent — You may designate an authorized agent to submit requests on your behalf. We will verify the agent’s authorization before processing the request.

4. We Do Not Sell Your Data

YourMatrix does not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to outside parties for monetary or other valuable consideration. This includes:

  • No data brokers — We do not share your data with data brokers or information resellers.
  • No advertisers — We do not share your personal information with advertisers for targeted advertising purposes.
  • No cross-context behavioral advertising — We do not track your activity across third-party websites or apps to serve you ads.
  • No third-party profiling — We do not allow third parties to collect your data from YourMatrix for profiling purposes.

The only circumstances in which we share your information are to operate the platform (e.g., SMS verification providers) or as required by law. All service providers are contractually prohibited from using your data for any purpose other than providing services to YourMatrix.

If this ever changes: Should YourMatrix ever consider selling personal data in the future, we will update this policy, notify all users, and provide a clear opt-out mechanism at least 30 days before any such change takes effect. California residents will always have the right to opt out.

5. How to Submit a Request

You may submit any CCPA rights request using the methods below. We will verify your identity before processing your request and respond within 45 days. Complex requests may be extended an additional 45 days with notice.

Step 1 — Submit Request: Email privacy@yourmatrix.io or use the in-app Settings → Privacy → Submit CCPA Request.

Step 2 — Identity Verification: We verify your identity by confirming your account email and phone number to protect against unauthorized requests.

Step 3 — We Respond: We process and respond to your request within 45 days. Deletions are completed within 30 days of confirmation.

What to include: Your YourMatrix username, the email address on your account, your California state of residence, and the specific right you wish to exercise (Know, Delete, Correct, Opt-Out, or Portability).

6. Non-Discrimination

YourMatrix will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights. This means we will not:

  • Deny you access to YourMatrix or any of its features.
  • Charge you different prices or rates for any services.
  • Provide you a different level or quality of service.
  • Suggest that you will receive a different price, rate, or quality of service as a result of exercising your rights.
  • Retaliate against you in any way for submitting a CCPA request.

Your rights are free: Exercising your CCPA rights costs nothing. There is no fee to submit a request, receive your data, or have your data deleted. You may submit up to two requests per 12-month period.

7. Minors

YourMatrix is strictly an 18+ platform. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18, including minors under the age of 16 as defined under CCPA.

The CCPA provides that minors between 13–16 years of age must opt in before a business can sell their data, and minors under 13 require parental consent. Because YourMatrix does not permit users under 18 and does not sell any personal data, these provisions do not apply to our platform.

If you are under 18: You are not permitted to use YourMatrix. If you have created an account, please delete it immediately. If you are a parent or guardian of a minor who has created an account, contact us at safety@yourmatrix.io and we will permanently delete the account and all associated data within 24 hours.
