Community Guidelines

Effective Date: February 25, 2026

Operated by Best ROI Media LLC · Platform: 18+ Only

The rules and values that make YourMatrix a place worth being. Read them, live them, help us enforce them.

Why We Exist: YourMatrix was built because the internet lost its soul — and we want it back. No algorithms deciding what you see. No engagement bait. No fake personas. Just real people, real expression, and real community. These guidelines exist to protect that.

1. Who These Apply To

These Community Guidelines apply to every user on YourMatrix — personal accounts, Pages, Business Pages, and any person accessing the platform regardless of how or where they access it. They apply to all content including posts, comments, messages, chatrooms, audio, video, profile information, and any other form of expression on the platform.

These guidelines exist alongside our Terms of Service. Violating these guidelines may also constitute a violation of the Terms of Service and may result in account action up to and including permanent termination.

The spirit of the rules matters as much as the letter. If something feels like it violates the intent of these guidelines — even if it doesn’t technically violate a specific rule — our moderation team has the discretion to take action. When in doubt, ask yourself: “Does this make YourMatrix better or worse?”

2. Authenticity & Identity

YourMatrix is built on authentic connection. Fake identities, impersonation, and deception undermine everything we’re building.

You can:

  • Use a username or display name different from your legal name
  • Use a pseudonym as long as you’re not impersonating someone else
  • Create a Band or Creator Page under your artist name
  • Keep your profile photo and bio as personal or minimal as you like

You cannot:

  • Impersonate a real person, celebrity, public figure, or other user
  • Create fake accounts to evade a ban or suspension
  • Use someone else’s photos to misrepresent your identity
  • Create multiple personal accounts — one per person, verified by phone

Satire and parody: Parody accounts are allowed if they are clearly labeled as parody in the username and bio (e.g., “@NotElonMusk — Parody Account”). Accounts that could genuinely mislead people into thinking they are the real person are not permitted.

3. Respect & Harassment

YourMatrix is a place for real connection. That requires treating other users with basic human dignity — even when you disagree with them.

What We Prohibit:

  • Harassment campaigns — Coordinated efforts to target, intimidate, or silence a specific user.
  • Threats of violence — Direct or implied threats of physical harm against any person or group.
  • Hate speech — Content that degrades people based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin.
  • Stalking & monitoring — Using the platform to monitor, follow, or track another person without their consent.
  • Sexual harassment — Unsolicited sexual messages, comments, or content directed at another user.
  • Targeted bullying — Repeated hostile or demeaning behavior directed at a specific individual.

Context matters: Vigorous debate, criticism of public figures, dark humor, and satire are all permitted. The line is drawn at content that is specifically designed to demean, threaten, or silence real people.

4. Content Standards

YourMatrix is an 18+ platform. Adult content is permitted within the following guidelines. All content must comply with applicable law.

Adult Content — Permitted

  • Adult content between consenting adults, clearly labeled
  • Mature themes in art, music, writing, and creative expression
  • Discussion of adult topics in appropriate context
  • Content that is graphic or mature but serves a clear artistic or informational purpose

Adult Content — Not Permitted

  • Any sexual content involving or depicting minors — zero tolerance, immediate ban
  • Non-consensual intimate imagery or “revenge porn”
  • Explicit content posted in public spaces without content warnings
  • Content that glorifies or promotes sexual violence

Violence & Graphic Content — Permitted

  • News coverage and journalism involving violence
  • Historical documentation of violent events
  • Fiction, film, and creative work containing violent themes
  • Discussion of violence in educational or analytical context

Violence & Graphic Content — Not Permitted

  • Gratuitous gore or shock content with no informational purpose
  • Content glorifying or celebrating real-world violence or attacks
  • Footage of real violence shared for entertainment purposes
  • Content designed to incite violence against a person or group

5. Zero Tolerance Content

The following content results in immediate permanent account termination with no warning, no appeal, and no reinstatement. There are no exceptions.

  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind — including drawn, animated, or AI-generated content depicting minors sexually
  • Content that facilitates, promotes, or recruits for terrorism or mass violence
  • Content that provides instructions for creating weapons of mass destruction
  • Non-consensual intimate imagery — sharing explicit content of someone without their consent
  • Coordinated inauthentic behavior — operating networks of fake accounts to manipulate the platform
  • Content that directly facilitates real-world violence against a specific named individual
  • Grooming — using the platform to gain the trust of a minor for exploitative purposes
  • Human trafficking — soliciting, facilitating, or promoting the trafficking of persons

Mandatory Reporting: Discovery of CSAM or content facilitating child exploitation will be reported to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) and applicable law enforcement immediately. This is a federal legal requirement under 18 U.S.C. § 2258A and is non-negotiable.

6. Privacy & Doxxing

Every person on YourMatrix has a right to privacy. Using the platform to invade, expose, or exploit someone’s private information is a serious violation.

  • Doxxing — Sharing someone’s private personal information — home address, phone number, workplace, real name — without their consent.
  • Location exposure — Sharing someone’s real-time or precise location without their knowledge or consent.
  • Private communications — Sharing private messages, emails, or conversations without consent from all parties involved.
  • Identity exposure — Outing someone’s real identity, sexual orientation, immigration status, medical information, or other sensitive personal details.

Public figures have reduced privacy expectations for their public roles and public statements. However, even public figures retain privacy rights over their personal lives, families, home addresses, and non-public information.

7. Misinformation

YourMatrix does not fact-check opinions, satire, or commentary. We do take action on misinformation that causes real-world harm.

Permitted:

  • Opinions, commentary, and analysis — even if controversial
  • Clearly labeled satire and parody
  • Sharing unverified news with appropriate context
  • Questioning official narratives in good faith

Not Permitted:

  • Deliberately fabricated content designed to cause panic or harm
  • False health information that could endanger lives
  • Coordinated disinformation campaigns
  • Manipulated media (deepfakes) presented as real without disclosure

8. Intellectual Property

Only post content you own or have the rights to share. Respect the creative work of others.

  • Original content — Photos, videos, music, art, and writing you created yourself are always welcome.
  • Licensed content — Content you have an explicit license or permission to share on social media.
  • User-generated audio — Original sounds you create can be shared and used by other YourMatrix users in their posts.
  • Copyrighted music — Do not post full songs, albums, or substantial portions of music you don’t own the rights to.

Copyright violations are handled through our DMCA Policy. Repeat copyright infringers will have their accounts permanently terminated.

9. Chatroom Rules

YourMatrix chatrooms — including Town Square local rooms — are live, real-time spaces. They require an extra layer of respect and awareness because of their public, real-time nature.

  • No flooding & spamming — Sending rapid-fire repetitive messages that disrupt the room experience for others.
  • No unsolicited links — Dropping links to external sites, especially promotional or suspicious ones, without context.
  • No room hijacking — Attempting to derail, dominate, or take over a chatroom’s topic or tone against the wishes of the community.
  • Harassment rules apply — All general harassment rules apply fully in chatrooms. Real-time does not equal rule-free.
  • Room owners have authority — Room creators and designated moderators may enforce additional rules for their specific rooms beyond these platform-wide guidelines.
  • Town Square is local — Keep Town Square conversations relevant to your local community. It’s meant to connect neighbors, not broadcast globally.

10. Business & Page Standards

YourMatrix Pages — whether for bands, creators, news outlets, or businesses — are held to the same community standards as personal accounts, plus additional requirements specific to their type.

All Pages

Pages must clearly represent who or what they are. Pages cannot impersonate other brands, organizations, or individuals. All content posted through Pages must comply with these Community Guidelines in full.

Verified Business Pages

Businesses with the Verified Business badge must maintain the accuracy of their verification information. If your EIN, business email, or domain changes, you must update your verification within 30 days. Businesses may not use their Verified status to mislead consumers about the nature, quality, or legitimacy of their products or services.

News Outlet Pages

News outlet pages are encouraged to follow journalistic standards of accuracy and attribution. Deliberately publishing fabricated news stories under a News Outlet Page is a violation of these guidelines and may result in page removal.

Advertising and promotions: Paid promotions, sponsored content, and affiliate links posted through Pages must be clearly disclosed. Deceptive advertising or misleading product claims are violations of both these guidelines and applicable consumer protection law.

11. Enforcement

YourMatrix uses a combination of automated tools, user reports, and human moderation to enforce these guidelines. We aim to be consistent, fair, and transparent in our enforcement decisions.

Progressive Strike System

For most violations, we use a progressive enforcement system:

  • 1st Strike — Warning issued. Violating content removed. Strike documented on account.
  • 2nd Strike — Temporary suspension. Duration based on severity. Content removed.
  • 3rd Strike — Permanent account termination. Phone number blacklisted from re-registration.

Immediate Termination

Certain violations — outlined in Section 5 — result in immediate permanent termination without warning. YourMatrix also reserves the right to bypass the strike system for severe violations of any rule when the situation warrants it.

We aim to be fair: Our moderation team reviews all significant account actions before they are finalized. We do not terminate accounts lightly. Mistakes happen — that’s why we have an appeals process.

12. How to Report

If you see content or behavior that violates these guidelines, please report it. Reporting is anonymous — the person you report will not be notified that you filed a report.

  • Step 1: Navigate to the post, profile, comment, or message you want to report.
  • Step 2: Tap the “…” menu on any content or profile and select “Report.”
  • Step 3: Select the category that best describes the violation from the list provided.
  • Step 4: Add any additional context if helpful and submit. Our team reviews all reports.

For urgent safety matters — including CSAM, credible threats of violence, or content involving minors — please also email us directly at safety@yourmatrix.io. Urgent reports are reviewed within hours, not days.

False reports: Submitting false or bad-faith reports to harass other users is itself a violation of these guidelines and may result in action against your account.

13. Appeals

If you believe a moderation action taken against your account or content was in error, you have the right to appeal. We take appeals seriously and review every one of them.

Email: appeals@yourmatrix.io
Subject: Account Appeal — [Your Username]
Include: Your username, what action was taken, and why you believe it was in error
Response Time: Within 7 business days

Appeals are reviewed by a member of our moderation team who was not involved in the original decision. We will either uphold the original action, reverse it, or modify it. Our decision on appeal is final.

What we cannot appeal: Permanent terminations for Zero Tolerance violations (Section 5) are not subject to appeal. These actions are final and cannot be reversed under any circumstances.
